I brake for fall and for shiny buildings on the side of a country road.
This afternoon marks the beginning of fall break for our school system. Though we start school at the end of July, (seriously), we take a week off during the first week of October.
It is heaven.
This chick is looking forward to a week with no alarm clock and some time with my camera.
Wishing all of you a great weekend and week beyond.

what an AWESOME time of year to have a break! enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteI love shiny grain bins. Happy Fall Break! I'm way jealous of no alarm clocks!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it! I think I'm going to have to dust off the camera myself.
ReplyDeleteI thought we started school early in August. Fortunately, I write from home, so I can afford not to believe in time. Thus, no alarms. Happy Fall.
ReplyDeleteOh have a great week off I do look forward to those photos. B
ReplyDeleteJuly?????? Oh, my. Bet you and the youngun's do enjoy this week off, particularly when the weather is likely to be so gorgeous.

I'm sure this coming week off is well deserved. Enjoy. :)
ReplyDeleteI bet the fall break is so that in the olden days the kids could help with harvest. Enjoy your time off and I look forward to seeing some fun pix! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteJuly start to school is early. I wonder how the kids feel about it? What is the overall position from parents. Do the pros outweigh the cons? Just curious. :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting post processing treatment. Has a canvas look to it.
Sounds wonderful to have a break at this time. My oldest was in a year round school for a few years and I loved it, just when you and they are getting sick of school, it's time for a break..YES! Have a great week! xo
ReplyDeleteAhhh...enjoy sleeping in!
ReplyDeleteNice photo effect!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful time of the year to have some time off. We are off right now, too. Our schedule reverses each year so we get to see this lovely weather every other year.
ReplyDeleteIt is a very different schedule from the one up here. But, a week off at this time of the year sounds terrific! Enjoy yourself.

ReplyDeleteMy grands have year around school in Arizona. It's a new concept to me...
ReplyDeleteThe week long break to celebrate local county fairs, teacher conferences or both? Interesting time to bring learning to a halt.
ReplyDeleteBut I do like that shining building.
Yay, enjoy your fall break!!
ReplyDeleteOf course, we sure need time with our camera -- its essential. - barbara
ReplyDeleteWonderful where alike is possible, and happening. With about 90F over here, no sign of autumn at all.
